Our company

About Advocate.

We're building the trusted information layer between local businesses and the AI assistants people increasingly ask for recommendations.

Why this matters

The web was built for search results. The next interface is an answer.

A local business may have the right information on its website, in a directory, and in the owner's head — but those facts are often scattered, stale, or difficult for an AI system to interpret confidently.

Advocate gives that business one accurate, structured source and a way to see the evidence around how it is delivered and read. The goal is simple: make the real business easier to understand without pretending we control the assistant's answer.

The work

What we’re building

A practical system for accurate business information, controlled delivery, and evidence that holds up under scrutiny.

01

An accurate source

We turn owner-supplied facts — services, locations, hours, credentials, and the details that make a business distinct — into a clear, structured profile that machines can read without guessing.

02

Reliable delivery

We publish that source on Advocate and are building controlled ways to carry approved updates to the places AI systems and customers already look, with consent and verification at every write boundary.

03

Evidence you can inspect

We record recognized AI crawler visits to Advocate profiles and clicks through Advocate links. We are extending that evidence layer so businesses can see what changed, where it propagated, and what was actually observed.

How we work

Useful, careful, and honest about the boundary.

01

The owner is the source of truth

A business should control the facts used to describe it. We preserve provenance instead of filling gaps with invented data.

02

Measure before claiming

We report the signals we can verify and label the ones we cannot. We do not promise rankings, citations, recommendations, or access to private AI conversations.

03

Build alongside real businesses

Product decisions come from the practical work of onboarding, publishing, checking delivery, and resolving inconsistent information with business owners.

The team

Small team, close to the work.

Advocate is built by the same people who work through the product and delivery details with customers.
